Mensor relocated from Houston to San Marcos in 1978. The beautiful spring fed San Marcos River and surrounding hill country serenity was instrumental in making the decision to move. San Marcos is located on the IH 35 corridor between Austin and San Antonio and has been selected several times as the best place in the nation to live and raise a family. Austin, located just north of San Marcos, is the state capitol of Texas and has also been named the “Live Music Capital of the World.” To the south, you’ll find the San Antonio River Walk and The Alamo. Also located in San Marcos is the largest outlet mall in Texas. Central Texas is rich in culture and provides abundant choices of recreation, from the numerous city parks and walking trails, to the surrounding rivers, lakes and state parks. This area has been named one of the fastest growing areas in the country.

The climate is Central Texas is conducive to recreation, in one form or another, year-round. There are abundant walking/running trails throughout the city and countryside and numerous lakes and rivers for various forms of water recreation.

Mensor’s new facility was designed for growth. It includes a state-of-the-art calibration room, ergonomically designed production and office spaces, and a fitness center. Education is essential to our future.
San Marcos is home to Texas State University which offers nearly 200 undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.  It is the alma mater to Lyndon Baines Johnson the 36th President of the United States. With a student population of over 36,000, Texas State has been named an Emerging Research University, which allows for special funding for research in many fields including smart energy solutions and space exploration. There are many opportunities at the university to increase your knowledge and fulfill your educational goals. Mensor has always been engaged with Texas State University and local public schools to promote education and to provide a place of fulfillment in work.
